Dercem Kaya, Staff Reporter and Columnist
Dercem Kaya, a junior at the [email protected], is a student in the Law and Public Safety Academy. This is her first year being a part of The Maroon Tribune and she is excited to join the intelligent and diverse staff of writers. For the second semester, she helped to develop the new column "Elephant in the Room" about important teen issue that are hard to talk about. Dercem is involved in Student Council, HOSA, Model U.N., and the Future Business Leaders of America. Although new to the world of news writing, Dercem is looking forward to expanding her knowledge on the journalism world and to gaining experience while writing a variety of articles for the student body.
