The Maroon Tribune

Donghyun “Brian” Lee
Donghyun “Brian” Lee is a second-year Chief Web Administrator of The Maroon Tribune and a member of the Class of 2020 in the Information Systems Academy. After immigrating from South Korea in 6th Grade, he struggled to communicate with his peers due to a language barrier. He strived to overcome the disadvantages in reading, writing and speaking English by participating in Public Forum Debates and Model United Nations. In addition to becoming an avid debater, he obtained a knack for serving his community. He is the DMAE Student Council President, Co-Founder of the new DMAE Red Cross Chapter, Captain of Debate Team, President of DMAE Future Business Leaders of America, and also plays for the Varsity Golf Team while remaining an active member of Science National Honor Society, Math National Honor Society, and the National Honor Society. His fervor to advocate for his peers often brings him to speak at Englewood’s Board of Education meetings to make student body’s voices heard. He takes joy and pride in being the “de facto School Photographer” and capturing kindling memories at school events. In his time away from school, he enjoys watching the NBA and European Soccer Leagues while pursuing his own academic interests in Finance and Politics. As a second-year Web Administrator for The Maroon Tribune, he hopes to increase viewership for The Maroon Tribune by diversifying and enabling easier access to the website.
