The Maroon Tribune

Courtnie Beckford
Courtnie Beckford, who is currently a junior in the Biomedicine Academy, is a third year writer for the Maroon Tribune. She loves to write about school wide activities that promote student unity, as well as the controversial topics that many students for the school advocate for, from feminism to climate change. She is a member of Student Council and a member of the DMHS Flag Line. Apart from school, Courtnie loves learning different languages, trying different things, exploring different parts of her community, and taking care of children. Since coming to the Academies @ Englewood, she realized that the world is a place of cultivating new, innovative ideas because of diversity. She hopes that this modern way of thinking is shown in her writing.
